Check out our lab space in Tolentine Hall
The main lab is located in 231 Tolentine Hall, and consists of a main work area and two testing rooms, including an acoustically- and electrically-shielded booth. There is also a shared eye-tracking lab in 18A Tolentine Hall, which we use for visual world eye-tracking experiments. Check out some pictures of our lab space below.
The lab has four workstations (two Macs; two Windows/Linux), with high-quality headphone amplifiers and headphones for editing speech stimuli, making acoustic measurements, and analyzing data.
One workstation is used for monitoring experiments and has a Focusrite audio interface for recording speech from two talkers simultaneously. There is also additional work space, a sink for cleaning EEG equipment, and storage for equipment, supplies, and files.

The lab also has two testing rooms. The behavioral testing room is sound treated, and has a computer with a high-end sound card and headphones. We use this for many of our basic perceptual and psycholinguistics experiments.

The EEG testing room has an acoustically- and electrically-shielded booth, as well as space and supplies for setting up EEG/ERP experiments. The EEG system is a 64-channel Brain Vision actiCHamp that allows us to record up to 64 cortical EEG channels, or 32 EEG channels and auditory brainstem responses simultaneously.
The booth is also equipped with over-ear Sennheiser headphones, Etymotic insert earphones, and a Rode microphone for high-quality audio recordings.
